What we mean is that you continue learning until you die. This quote says “never stop learning because life never stops teaching”. So as long as you are alive, you should always be ready to learn.
Learning is not only limited to classroom or confinement of an institution; learning goes beyond that. We learn everyday and from every situation; sometimes consciously and also unconsciously.
As it has always been said that learning is a never-ending journey. Learning broadens our vision and horizons. From the cradle to the resting place, you are in a continuous cycle of learning from experiences and mistakes. It is a vital part of your everyday life.

Learning effectively goes way beyond just accumulating and accreting knowledge; it is your ability to apply the knowledge you have acquired in your life and at some point in the future.
Taking a student studying economics for instance, he or she at some point in class must have been taught to be rational in thinking and also applying opportunity cost (alternative forgone) in utilizing scarce and limited resources. You have learnt effectively if you can apply these principles in your everyday life and make rational decision on how to minimize cost and maximize satisfaction.
As a student and youth also, you must be eager to explore your curiosities, eager to discover solutions to problems and meet needs. You shouldn’t just accept things as they are, try to see beyond the face value; try to improve and not remain stagnant, stretch your understanding and discover new knowledge.
Many people are ignorant of the fact that having any certification or degree doesn’t mean you have achieved the pinnacle of life. Those are just small parts of the continuous learning process. In learning, you should try to be flexible, adapt to changes knowing that change is always constant.
We have carefully and brilliantly structured this article to give you an in-depth knowledge about what learning is all about and why you should be ready to learn. We have divided this article into four categories to give you a better understanding of learning.

WHAT IS LEARNING?
Learning is a continuous and gradual process of life. According to Wikipedia, learning is the process of acquiring new understanding, knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, attitudes and preferences. Learning is the only thing that distinguishes humans from animals though it has been proven that some animals learn too and a good example is a dog.
Learning should not be limited to technical knowledge and academic knowledge though that is where our minds go to when we hear about learning. Learning is different from education and we will be showing you that in this article.
Learning is life and life is a teacher. For everything you do in life, you learn.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEARNING AND EDUCATION
Many people confuse and use these two terms interchangeably but we are here to spell out the differences to you so as to give you a better understanding of the two.
Like we have said earlier that learning is the acquisition of skills, knowledge, values, behaviors, understanding, morals, and principles. Learning could be from education, personal development, experiences (yours or other people’s) etc. Learning is a process that has unlimited sources.
Every individual learn from birth and it continues till death and it evolves in the inner self.
Education on the other hand is seen as the process through which a society or community passes on the knowledge, values and skills from one generation to another. Education is impacting knowledge, values, skills and attitudes to an individual.
Education is what you get at some point in your life. It can be gotten from school or institution and also a tutor or educator impacts education. Education is knowledge gained through teaching. It is formal and takes place in a structured environment.
We are going to use a table to differentiate the two terms for you to understand better.
|This is the acquisition of knowledge or skills through various sources like study, experience or being taught||This is the process of receiving or giving systematic instructions, especially in a formal setting|
|It is prompted by intrinsic motivation that is a drive from the inside (inner self)||It is prompted by an extrinsic motivation that is a drive from the outside|
|Learning is not limited by age. It is a continuous process||Education is received up to a certain age|
|Learning is a basic instinct possessed by all human||Education is acquired by individual.|
|It doesn’t require a tutor or guide||This takes place under the guidance of am educator|
