These negative behaviours are disruptive behaviours that make it difficult for students to learn as it will distract the disruptive student and other students too.

  • It will interfere with students ability to focus

When there is a constant interference due to disruptive behaviour of one student, it will make the student and other students to lose concentration in what is being taught and this will affect their ability to understand the lesson.

  • It will affect the teacher’s ability to teach effectively

Most times, this disruptive behaviour will make the teacher spend most of the learning time trying to resolve the issue as the teacher will have to stop the lesson to address the behaviour and this will take away a large amount of the time that the teacher is supposed to use to teach.

The disruptive behaviour of a student will surely affect their grades and academic performance and it is not only them as other students will also be affected. With this behaviour, students will lose concentration which might make them not to understand the lesson causing them to perform poorly in tests or examination which will result to low grades and poor academic performance.

Students are sometimes influenced by what their peers do and want to feel among and when a student exhibit disruptive character like being rude to the teacher, bringing phones to class or bullying other students, this might encourage other students to do so.
